Duval County

Duval County sits in the northeast corner of Florida and is home to the nations largest city in land mass, Jacksonville. Duval County consists of many different landscapes, areas and neighbors; there is something for everyone! If you enjoy night life, festivities and constant entertainment, downtown Jacksonville is the place for you! Move over east and settle near the beaches if you prefer to have your toes in the sand. Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach all have their own atmospheres with plenty to do. “Jax Beach” is the busiest of the three and offers year-round events while Atlantic and Neptune Beaches tend to have more of a small beach town feel without the high rise condominiums and such.
If you prefer more of a quiet, family oriented atmosphere there are such areas spread all over Duval County. The Southside area is home to many subdivisions including prestigious neighborhoods such as Deerwood where you will find older and newer homes; no cookie cutters here! It’s known for its larger lot sizes and lakes.
The Bartram Park area of Jacksonville is a newer area that is home to many townhome communities, retailers and restaurants. It’s convenient location near I-95 and 295 offers easy access to anywhere in Jacksonville as well as St. Augustine.
The Mandarin area of Jacksonville is on the southern portion of Duval County just to the east of the St. Johns River. Mandarin offers older and newer homes and tends to have more non-HOA subdivisions in comparison to some newer areas of Duval County. Mandarin provides easy access to 295 and I-95 and has some more affordable housing options than some other parts of Duval County.
